Lloyd Mallory, Jr. DMA

Dr. Lloyd Mallory, Jr., a native of Washington, D.C., earned his doctorate of musical arts degree at UCLA under Donald Neuen, Director of Choral Activities, and a protégé of the late Robert Shaw. Dr. Mallory also earned a Master of Arts Degree with a dual emphasis in Choral Conducting and Voice from Morgan State; with his undergraduate degree from Oakwood University, Huntsville, Alabama. Presented with pastoral credentials from the Potomac Conference of Seventh-day Adventists, in Virginia, Mallory most recently served as Associate Pastor/Minister of Music and Worship at the Sligo Church in Takoma Park, Maryland. Currently, Mallory is an Associate Professor of Music/Director of Choral Activities at Delaware State University in Dover, Delaware. Prior to his appointment there, he served as Interim Choral Director for Clark Atlanta University, in Georgia. Mallory also serves as part of the music staff for this historic Union Baptist Church in Baltimore, MD. He also served as Associate Professor of Music, and Director of the Aeolians, the Oakwood University Choir and Chamber Singers, at Oakwood University from 1996-2006. He served as tenor soloist with the renowned Albert McNeil Jubilee Singers of Los Angeles, CA, from 2001 – 2008, travelling across the United States, Europe, and South America.
