Journal of Transformative Education Research, Initiatives, and Practices
Journal of Transformative Education Research, Initiatives, and Practices is hosted at the RAISE Center as a peer-reviewed, open-access international journal in partnership by the STAR Scholars and coordinated by faculty at Delaware State University. The journal is dedicated to advancing scholarship on educational equity and transformative practices across the P-20 continuum, encompassing primary, secondary, and tertiary education in both U.S. and global contexts.
Our mission is to publish high-quality research and scholarship that challenge inequities, amplify underrepresented voices, and promote transformative change. We invite submissions from a diverse range of scholars, educators, and community leaders committed to reimagining education for the 21st century.
JTERIP seeks to amplify research that drives educational transformation through a social justice lens. We welcome interdisciplinary scholarship that bridges theory and practice and that offers critical insights for researchers, educators, practitioners, and policymakers. The journal invites submissions that:
- Address the complexity of equity in education across P–20 systems (early childhood through tertiary education)
- Focus on underrepresented student populations and global/international education contexts
- Apply critical, theoretical, or conceptual frameworks to interrogate existing educational paradigms
- Highlight innovative teaching, leadership, or policy practices that aim to close opportunity gaps
- Examine the intersectionality of race, gender, class, (dis)ability, language, and identity in educational settings
- Our audience includes scholars, school and higher education leaders, social scientists, and practitioners dedicated to transformative education in diverse learning environments.
