Department of Languages and Literatures

The role and function of the Department of Languages and Literatures at Delaware State University is threefold:

  • The department provides instruction in language, composition, speech, and humanities for the General Education program;
  • The department offers instruction in language and literature, speech, methods of teaching English, linguistics, and language arts for the teacher education program;
  • The department provides instruction in languages and literature, speech, drama, grammar and composition, and linguistics for the liberal arts program.
