Liberal Studies, AA
The Associate of Arts in Liberal Studies offers a broad education where students can take classes in multiple subjects. This 64-credit program is designed to satisfy the needs of students seeking a general background with the possibility of specializing in selected areas. Students completing this degree may continue their studies in bachelor’s degree programs offered by the University, may transfer to other universities for further study, or conclude their studies at this level.
The Associate of Arts Degree in Liberal Studies requires successful completion of 64 credits made up of 18 credits of required major courses, 25 credits of general education courses and 21 credits of open electives with a cumulative grade point average of no less than 2.00 on a 4.00 scale. The degree program offers flexibility for students who are also working professionals.
