Women's and Gender Studies Minor

The Women’s and Gender Studies (WGS) Minor is an interdisciplinary program that offers students a theoretical understanding and appreciation of the historical and societal issues involving all peoples. The program’s mission is to equip students with the skills adequate to appreciating all of human diversity beyond what they may experience at Delaware State University; motivate students to pursue their interests in matters related to identity and power relations regarding the intersection of race, class, gender, ethnicity, and sexuality; and provide diverse learning experiences that advance the call for social justice for all peoples, with a specific emphasis on people of African and minority descents.
