RESEARCH INTERESTs

Dr. Alexander began his pursuit of education to further expound his marketing knowledge to understand the operational identity of colleges and universities, how educational institutions develop their brand, and how equity of opportunity is achieved.

In addition to the diverse roles he has served at DSU, Dr. Alexander has expanded his knowledge base through serving as a paraprofessional for Dover High School, teacher for the Delaware Adolescent School Program Inc. (DAPI), and student and community activist with the Metropolitan Wilmington Urban League (MWUL)’s Wilmington Center for Education and Policy (WCEEP), where he has worked together with K-12 staff and community leaders to address inequities for students residing in the City of Wilmington, and facilitated workshops and trainings. He is a member of the American College Personnel Association (ACPA), and peer reviewer for the Journal of Higher Education Politics and Economics (JHEPE).

Justin’s work is rooted in his belief: “We are life-long learners because learning is lifelong. Education never stops; our critical inquiry diminishes because we stop asking and researching for answers.”
