Spanish (Minor)
Introduction
The Spanish minor cultivates students into bilingual global citizens through the development of linguistic, cultural, social, and historical competence in the target language and culture(s).
Objectives
- Develop students’ linguistic, cultural, social, and historical understanding of the target language and culture(s) through the implementation of innovative strategies that empower students to use the foreign language as a communicative tool.
- Cultivate students into bi- or multi-lingual global citizens capable of drawing upon their understanding of culture and language to break down barriers of discourse, gain knowledge of the world, and develop a functional awareness of cultural relativity.
